Thought Leaders Demonstrate Virtual Reality to Creative Economy & Technologists
Spark Saratoga and Arts Spark announce a new collaborative event to bring together the entrepreneur, technical, and artist communities within the region. Collision: Where Art and Technology Meet is designed to demonstrate the common ground regional artists have with regional entrepreneurs and technologists.
“By cutting across industry silos and aligning local tech-based entrepreneurs with creative economy contributors furthers our mission of impactful growth and collaboration,” says Ryan Van Amburgh, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Spark Saratoga. “We’re excited to co-host this unique event with Arts Spark.”
Beth Moeller, founder of Arts Spark explains, “The creative economy employs over 45,000 people in the Capital Region, according to the Upstate Alliance for the Creative Economy. It is important to bring together creatives, entrepreneurs, and technologists to showcase collaboration opportunities. A gathering like this will spark ideas and conversations that can ultimately benefit everyone.”
The March 19, 2019 event will be hosted at Artisanal Brew Works, 41 Geyser Road, Saratoga Springs, NY, from 6pm to 8pm. Attendees will hear from two thought leaders while demonstrating the creation of graphics in a Virtual Reality environment using an HTC Vive and Google Tilt Brush. Attendees will be able to create Virtual Reality art themselves.
